Victor M. Wynn, J.D., M.T.S.
Pastor Wynn is a Nashville native and graduate of Hume Fogg Academic Magnet High School. While at Hume Fogg, he became the 1st African American to serve as Student Government President. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. He later enrolled in the joint law and divinity program at Vanderbilt University where he earned a Master of Theological Studies and Doctor of Jurisprudence.
Pastor Wynn began serving at Temple in 1998 and currently serves as the Assistant to the Pastor and Minister of Worship. In his unique role, he serves as the Assistant Pastor and Chief of Staff as well as the Worship Pastor providing leadership for Worship and Arts. Prior to his role at Temple, he served as Minister of Music at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. He has also served in various capacities for the Nashville Office of the Public Defender and in the General Counsel’s Office for both Austin Peay State University and Meharry Medical College.
Pastor Wynn has served as a clinician and/or consultant for numerous churches throughout the country and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Donelson Hermitage, You Have the Power, the Tennessee Respite Coalition, DREAMERS, INC (A Mission to Support Ex-Offenders) and was the past Board Chair for Unity Residential Services.
Victor and his wife Alecia are the proud parents of two daughters, Sydney Elise and Lauren Marie and one nephew, Andrew James.
